Summary

Hut circle of simple plan and rubble bank walling type originally recorded by the Ordnance Survey in 1951. Interior measures 4.5 metres in diameter and is defined by a 2.5 metre wide wall standing up to 0.6 metres high. Doorway faces south-east and is partly blocked with loose stones (1992 survey).

Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1951, SX57SE47, E (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV272512.

Visited 29/10/1951. One of a group of 6 hut circles. (SX 5612 7056). Hut E. Stones embedded in turf, but well defined. Diameter 8.0 metres, wall width 1.2 - 2.0 metres, height 0.5 metres.
