Full description

Michelmore Hughes + Strutt + Parker, 1982, Halsdon House, Devon (Pamphlet). SDV466.

Former stable to the south-west of the house. Built of stone and cob with a corrugated iron roof.

'The Colt's Stable' approx 30m to south west of Halsdon House.
Former stable. Circa mid C19. Stone rubble walls with rustic wooden cladding. Gable ended thatch roof. Divided internally into 2 large loose boxes with a small adjoining yard outside. Single storey. Symmetrical front with large central gable slightly projecting which has large C20 transomed window below. Entrance in right-hand end wall. Enclosed yard at left-hand end where there is another doorway.
