Summary

Hut circle in unenclosed settlement. Diameter 4.0 metres. Single orthostat wall 1.3 metres wide, 0.6 metres high. A 140 degree facing gap may represent a doorway. The possible doorway therefore faces upslope. Grass, bilberry and gorse.

Group of seven 'Hut Circles' shown on 19th century map.

Hut E (SX5710 7248; same grid reference as given for Hut D, which was not located). Two small patches of rock 5.0 metres apart, might possibly represent the remains of a hut circle wall but it is impossible to say with certainty.

Stone hut circle forming part of an unenclosed prehistoric settlement on Walkhampton Common lying 1050 metres south-west of Devil's Bridge.
Diameter 4.0 metres. Single orthostat wall 1.3 metres wide, 0.6 metres high. A 140 degree facing gap may represent a doorway. The possible doorway therefore faces upslope. Grass, bilberry and gorse.
