Grinsell, L. V., 1978, Dartmoor Barrows, 143 (Article in Serial). SDV273224.

Site visit 13th June 1971. Round barrow in rough pasture with possible ditch. 25 metres diameter, 1.3 metres high.

1. One of two barrows (B) with a possible ditch. 25.0 metres diameter and 1.3 metres high. Situated on a flat hilltop. Visited by Grinsell in 1971.
2.Site visit 7th November 1983. Possibly bell-type barrow, 24.5 metres diameter with no traces of the ditch reported in 1871. The total height is 1.3 metres made up from what seems to be a flat-topped central mound 15.0 metres diameter and 0.5 metres high, surrounded by a poorly defined berm about 1.5 metres wide and 0.8 metres above the base of the barrow. In good condition but much overgrown with furze. No finds were made. Other details: Barrow B. Plan and section.

1. Site visit 6th October 1950. Large bowl barrow (C). 24.0 metres diameter, 1.5 metres high. Traces of surrounding ditch. In good condition. Turf covered. Other details: Barrow C. Photo.

Department for Culture, Media and Sport, 2002, Round Barrow Cemetery and Beacon at Heathfield, 650 metres West of Moorlands (Schedule Document). SDV342326.

[Part of] the core of round barrow cemetery containing five bowl barrows and three bell barrows, as well as a beacon. Situated on a prominent upland ridge which overlooks the valleys of the tributaries to the Rivers Lyd, Burn and Lumburn. The bell barrows each have a central mound surrounded by a flat raised platform called the berm which is surrounded by an outer ditch. The diameters of the mounds vary from 23.3 metres up to 34.4 metres in diameter. The berms range in wide from 1.5 metres up to 3.2 metres and in height from 0.5 metres up to 0.8 metres. The overall heights of the mounds vary from 0.8 metres up to 1.4 metres. See schedule document for full details. Other details: Monument No. 34284.
