Public house. C17 origins with some rebuilding and a probably c19 wing. Whitewashed and plastered except for front wall of front left wing which is brick; 2 rear projecting lateral stacks to main range, 2 later stacks. Thatched roof half-hipped at right end of main range, gabled at end of wing. Later alterations have obscured the original plan but the rear lateral stacks suggest that the c17 arrangement was a main range, 2 rooms wide, probably with a central passage. The front left wing, at right angles to the main range, is probably a subsequent service wing.2 storeys. Asymmetrical 1 window front to the main range with 1 small square 4-pane first floor window and a thatched porch on posts. The return wall of the wing has the eaves thatch eyebrowed over 2 first floor 2-light casements, 6 panes per light and 2 ground floor small pane c20 windows. On the rear wall, facing "the college" is a ground floor 4-light window, circa late c17 or early c18 with 2 panes per light. Interior: largely modernized. Part of a chamfered axial beam with a scroll stop survives, and 1 fireplace with brecchia ashlar jambs and a chamfered timber lintel (doe).
