Trusham quarry is depicted on the Ordnance Survey Second Edition 25in map as an irregularly shaped earthwork approximately 20m wide and 116m long. The Fourth Edition 25inch map depicts a significantly larger quarry circa 170m long and 62m across, with possible spoil heaps depicted to the north-west of the pit, annotated as a disused quarry.
The quarry is not depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25in map of the late 19th century and is probably early 20th century in date.
The pit is clearly visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as a water filled earthwork. The quarry was not transcribed by the survey.
