Long narrow building shown on east side of churchyard.

Blue Coat School founded by the Reverand John Newte in 1713. Housed in a building in St. Peter's churchyard. Originally intended for 60 boys. A section added in 1714 for 50 girls. The school moved to Frog Street (now Castle Street) in 1842.
