Whitley, N., 1855, Settlement north of Ranny Brook (Plan - sketch). SDV137283.

Visited in September 1855. Plan appears to show this hut attached to hut to the south by a short length of bank.

Visited on 11th March 1993. Hut circle terraced into the hillslope and of the simple plan and rubble bank walling type. Interior measures 4 metres in diameter and is defined by a 1.5 metres wide wall standing up to 0.7 metres high. Doorway survives as a gap in the surrounding wall and faces south. A curved boundary bank measuring 1.5 metres wide and 0.4 metres high links this hut to the hut to the south.
