Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX57SE19 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV219145.

Hut circle D; one of a group of thirty eight huts and three enclosures. This large hut circle is of double walled type, composed of very large granite slabs, and has an entrance on the south side. The hut measures 8.5 meters in diameter and the walls stand to a height of 0.5 meters and measure 1.0 meter in width. The condition is this hut is very good.

Hut circle located at SX55667511, forming an outlying part of a large, partially enclosed settlement. Terraced into the hillside and is of the simple plan and double orthostat walling type. Interior measures 7.4 meters in diameter and the surrounding 2.0 meter wide wall stands up to 1.0 meter high. A south-facing gap in the hut wall may represent an original doorway.
