Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX57SE19 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV219145.

Hut circle E; one of a group of thirty eight huts and three enclosures. A large hut circle, composed of very large boulders, its condition is very good and the structure measures 8.5 meters in diameter, with the walls standing to an average height of 0.5 meters, although to a maximum height of 1.0 meter in places. The entrance is probably on the south-western side.

Large hut circle within partially enclosed settlement, terraced into hillslope with a simple plan and double orthostat walling. Internal diameter of the hut measures 8.0 meters, while the wall is 1.8 meters wide and remains to a height of 1.0 meters. South-facing gap in the wall may represent a doorway.
