Summary

Hut circle AA; part of the settlement to the south of the road. Hut circle is terraced into the hill slope and is of the simple plan and single orthostat walling type. Interior is oval, 5.0 metres by 3.6 metres and is defined by a 1.2 metre wide wall standing up to 0.5 metres high.

Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX57SE19 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV219145.

Hut circle AA measures 5.5 metres in diameter and is in ruinous condition, marked only by a number of single stones showing above the turf. Entrance not apparent.

(Visted 11/8/1994) Hut circle within a large partially enclosed settlement. Terraced into the hill slope and is of the simple plan and single orthostat walling type. Interior is oval, 5.0 metres by 3.6 metres and is defined by a 1.2 metre wide wall standing up to 0.5 metres high.
