Full description

D. M. G., Untitled Source (Personal Comment). SDV7859.

For details on St Helens Chapel on Beacon Hill, see SS14SW/13. Site name of St Helens not fully proven, nor is the relationship between it, and St Ann's very clear. Another chapel - or perhaps this one - may occur in Bulls Paradise SS14SW/46.

Ordnance Survey, Untitled Source (Cartographic). SDV7865.

Lewis, S., 1831, Untitled Source, 3 (Monograph). SDV7858.

Lewis implies that St Helens and St Ann's were separate chapels.

Chapel of St Ann, Lundy Island. Site unknown. May have been a separate edifice to St Helen's church, or possibly an aisle or recess in the church itself bearing the name of oratory of St Ann. Mentioned by J. R. Chanter in Lundy Island. Benjamin Donn's Atlas of Devon Maps (1765) shows a well in the centre of the island, and a little to the south the ruins set of St Ann's Chapel. Cary's English Atlas 1793 also shows it.
