A series of earthwork pits of post-medieval to 19th century gravel pits are visible on aerial photographs of 1948 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the north of Knightshayne Farm. The possible intercutting earthworks form a single irregular shaped cutting measuring approximately 115m in length by 55m in width, within the southeast corner of a land parcel.
