A possible medieval cultivation terrace is visible as an earthwork banked feature on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the east of Ashculme. The earthwork terrace is linear in shape, measures approximately 100m in length by 15m in width and is positioned parallel to moderate west facing slope. The northern extent of the earthwork has been cut by a probable modern trackway. The cultivation terrace remains clearly visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2008.
