Summary

Not recorded by the Ordnance Survey in their 1951 visit to this settlement, this hut is depicted by Butler (1994). Hut circle terraced into hillslope. Simple plan and single orthostat walling. Internal diameter 4.3 metres; wall 1.4 metres wide, 0.3 metres high. Doorway to south-south-east (1992 survey).

(SX 5613 7052) Hut circle terraced into hillslope. Simple plan and single orthostat walling. Internal diameter 4.3 metres; wall 1.4 metres wide, 0.3 metres high. Doorway to south-south-east.

(25/04/2020) Hut noted at SX 56155 70520 Condition assessed by volunteer recorder as very good; no damage agents affecting site. The Dartmoor Preservation Association regularly visit this site, clearing bracken cover. Cattle, sheep and ponies are free to roam over this ground, but appear to be causing little visible damage.
