A quarry of likely post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the southeast of Ley Farm. The irregular shaped quarry is partly depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. It measures approximately 90m in length by 48m in width and is visible either side of an historic and extant field boundary. The quarry is visible on Lidar-derived images captured between 1998-2014.
