Summary

St. Andrew parish church, aveton gifford. Partial destruction by bomb early in world war 2. Late 13th century, with rebuilt central tower over fine crossing arches and remarkable conical capped round stair turrett at sw angle. Original 15th century font and two splendid 15th century doorways to and inside the north porch. In the reconstruction the two chancel chapels of 15th century were not rebuilt (copeland). The history and architecture of this early english building are described in some detail (adams). The heraldry of the honychurch and savery family memorials (f. W. ).

St. Andrew parish church, aveton gifford. Partial destruction by bomb early in world war 2. Late 13th century, with rebuilt central tower over fine crossing arches and remarkable conical capped round stair turrett at sw angle. Original 15th century font and two splendid 15th century doorways to and inside the north porch. In the reconstruction the two chancel chapels of 15th century were not rebuilt (copeland).
