Fieldnames recorded as 'little wedgeditch' (no 672) and 'wedgeditch' (no 673) in ta (tm/ta). Vis=8/10/1992 (simpson + noble) these fields are now part of one much larger field which is ploughed. The stream to the e of the fields lies within a small gulley. It is possible that the fields derived their names from this (emafu).
