Summary

Hut circle 'Y' terraced into the hillslope of the simple plan and rubble bank walling type. The interior of the structure measures 3.6 metres in diameter and is defined by a 1.3 metres wide wall standing up to 0.4 metres high. The doorway into the hut faces south-west.

One of the eighteen hut circles excavated in 1895.

Stone hut circle at SX 58197256 within a large unenclosed stone hut circle settlement, on a south-west facing slope overlooking the valley of the river meavy. The building is terraced into the hillslope and is of the simple plan and rubble bank walling type. The interior of the structure measures 3.6 metres in diameter and is defined by a 1.3 metres wide wall standing up to 0.4 metres high. The doorway into the hut faces south-west.
This settlement was partially excavated in 1895 by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee, but it is not known which huts were investigated.
This stone hut circle survives comparatively well and forms part of a large unenclosed stone hut circle settlement situated within an area containing a large number of settlements.
