Summary

A disturbed stone hut circle associated with an extensive settlement of huts and enclosures, south of Legis Tor. Some masonry of the double-faced walls remains in places where the internal diameter of the hut between in situ remains is 3.8m, but other sections of the walls are spread to 2.2m wide. A probable entrance opening is visible on the southern side of the circle. Surveyed in March 2022.

22/02/1993 (SX 5747 6535) Hut circle terraced into the hillslope, and of the simple plan and double orthostat walling type. Interior measures 4.7m in diameter and is defined by a 1.4m wide wall standing up to 0.5m high. A gap in the surrounding wall facing south-south-east and lined on both sides represents an original doorway.

(07/02/2005) Two huts lie to the east of this enclosure on the moderate southern flank of Legis Tor.
SX 5748 6537. A sub-circular platform measuring 4.4m north-south by 3.8m internally with walls 1.5m wide and 0.6m high. A possible entrance lies in the east side.

Some masonry of the double-faced walls remains in places where the internal diameter of the hut between in situ remains is 3.8m, but other sections of the walls are spread to 2.2m wide. A probable entrance opening is visible on the southern side of the circle. Surveyed at 1:1000 scale using GPS, 25 March 2022.
