Full description
Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 130941, 21/4/1994 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.
Hut circle terraced into the hillslope (SX 5453 8772). Simple plan and single orthostat walling type. Interior measures 8 metres in diameter and is defined by a 1.8 metre wide wall standing up to 0.7 metres high. Amhof has suggested that the central position of this hut combined with its large size may mean that it was a place of importance, perhaps this was the head man's hut. Alternatively it could have been used as a meeting place for all the people of the settlement.
