Full description

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 133373 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

(09/02/1994) Three cairns at SX 56539076, SX 56539073 and SX 56519074, form part of a cairnfield of at least 64 mounds. Two of the mounds are sub-circular. The northern cairn measures 2.5m in diameter and stands up to 0.5m high on the downslope side and 0.1m high on the upslope.
The southern cairn measures 2.5m in diameter and 0.3m high.
The third cairn is ovoid in shape, is aligned east-west, measures 4m by 2m and stands up to 0.5m high.
Many of the mounds within the cairnfield are crest sited, strongly suggests that many of the cairns probably contain burials, although the size and shape of some mounds suggests that some may also be associated with stone clearance.

Probert, S. A. J. + Newman, P., 2003-2004, Measured survey North Dartmoor Military Range Okehampton Range: Monument Baseline Condition Survey (Report - Survey). SDV350801.

English Heritage, 2015, National Heritage List for England (National Heritage List for England). SDV357602.
