Cross. Buckland Ford, a ford across a small stream (a tributary of the Avon) a short distance west of Huntingdon Cross. One of the crosses mentioned in the 1557 inquisition on the bounds of brent moor was situated here, but is apparently no longer in existence.

A cross, mentioned in the 1557 inquisition on the bounds of Brent Moor, was situated at Buckland Ford (SX 65966604), but is apparently no longer in existence.
(20/07/1977) No trace of a cross, or its remains, could be found in the vicinity of Buckland Ford.
It is suggested that a fragment of a cross found at Gisperdown may be a part of this cross.

Robinson, R., 1977-1979, South Brent Parish Checklist (Worksheet). SDV151046.

The cross fragment found by owner of Gisperdown (sx66se/66) may be part of this cross, its dimensions are very similar to the Huntingdon Cross also of the same date.
