(05/09/1993) The remains of a former artillery observation post lie at the western end of Sammy Arnold's Lane, 750m NNE of Dinger Tor, at SX 5884 8882. The remains comprise a low amorphous stoney mound between 12 and 15m in diameter and a maximum of 0.6m high. Some cast iron girders and concrete protrude through the turf covering the mound, but there is no indication as to the location of the observing shelter.
