Summary

The channel, 1.1 metres wide and 0.4 metres deep is flanked by a bank 1.2 metres wide and 0.3 metres high on its downslope margin. It probably originated on the western arm of the Stonetor Brook and fed the workings on the eastern arm.

(14/08/1991) SX64868594 to SX64968595. A short tinner's leat at the foot of the north slope of Stonetor Hill. The channel, 1.1 metres wide and 0.4 metres deep is flanked by a bank 1.2 metres wide and 0.3 metres high on its downslope margin. It probably originated on the western arm of the Stonetor Brook and fed the workings on the eastern arm. At SX64928595 it bifurcates with a short channel terminating on the edge of the workings at SX64958598. Surveyed at 1:2500 scale ('Shovel Down' Survey).
