Name:Bank north-west of Batworthy Farm

Summary

A turf built bank located circa 40 metres outside and roughly parallel to the western boundary of Batworthy Farm. It measures 1.2 metres wide with a maximum height of 0.3 metres, traces of a ditch, 0.8 metres wide and 0.2 metres deep lie on its western side. It does not appear to be associated with the Castor Parallel Reave System and probably represents an earlier, or unfinished, boundary of Batworthy Farm.

Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1987-1993, Duchy Farms Project Survey Visit, S. A. J. Probert (Report - Survey). SDV350839.

(11/10/1991) SX 65538689 to SX 65748658. A turf built bank located circa 40 metres outside and roughly parallel to the western boundary of Batworthy Farm. It measures 1.2 metres wide with a maximum height of 0.3 metres, traces of a ditch, 0.8 metres wide and 0.2 metres deep lie on its western side. It does not appear to be associated with the Castor Parallel Reave System (SX 68 NE 67) and probably represents an earlier, or unfinished, boundary of Batworthy Farm.
