Summary

The 19th century brickworks buildings, tramway and extraction pits are depicted on late-19th and early-20th century maps. The remains of the kiln and a rectangular ancilliary building are visible as low structures on aerial photographs taken in 1946. The area has since been developed.

The brickworks depicted on late-19th and early-20th century maps have gone out of use by 1946, when the superstructures of the buildings have been removed. The base of the kiln remained visible as a double-circular structure, with the floor of an adjacent rectangular structure visible as two flat pale structures. These two features have been transcribed, but not the extractive pit which is accurately depicted on the historic mapping. The area has since been developed.
