Summary

Inclined tramway at Wheal Friendship Mine. Ran from Bennett's Shaft to arsenic works and tin mills. Details of workings given. The course of the incline is still discernible as a row of field gates in a straight line. It is also visible following the contours round to the arsenic works and in 1989 was visible as a cropmark beyond the Horndon Road. The tramway was re-laid in 1923-25.
