Summary

Vis=1/4/1995 (gerrard) gravel quarry on the edge of the river plym's floodplain. Survives as a 19m by 4.7m irregular shaped hollow. Spoil dumps containing fist sized rounded pebbles lie along the sw edge of the quarry and measure up to 4m wide by 1.2m high. This quarry was probably excavated to collect hardcore for road and track building and maintenance.

(01/04/1995) Gravel quarry on the edge of the River Plym's floodplain. Survives as a 19m by 4.7m irregular shaped hollow. Spoil dumps containing fist sized rounded pebbles lie along the sw edge of the quarry and measure up to 4m wide by 1.2m high. This quarry was probably excavated to collect hardcore for road and track building and maintenance.
Quarry is not of national importance, but does form part of a monument of national importance.
