Full description

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 140710 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

Site visited on 13th April 1995. Simple enclosure forming part of a partially enclosed stone hut circle settlement. Survives as a 62 metre by 56 metre sub-oval area surrounded by a 2 metre wide and 0.5 metres high orthostatic and rubble wall. One stone hut circle is visible within the enclosure. The enclosure wall has been cut by a Post-Medieval leat and V-shaped animal run.

Enclosure F is poorly defined with a single hut with the remains of an annexe on the uphill side.

Poorly defined enclosure 62 by 56 metres with a wall 1.5 - 2 metres wide by 0.5 metres high located within a clitter field. The wall is composed of large boulders including some earthfast stones in the south and south-east sectors. A gap in the southern sector may indicate an entrance.
