Full description
Exeter Archaeology, 1996, Archaeological Assessment of the Site Proposed for a New Combined School in Nelson Close, Topsham, 4, Fig. 2 (Report - Assessment). SDV22667.
For convenience, the proposed site for the new Combined School in Topsham was divided into five areas for assessment by Exeter Archaeology. Area 'D was very overgrown but with occasional small clear areas of rough grass. It was obviously an orchard with many fruit trees remaining, but dense bramble and scrub have encroached.
