Summary

Possible tinner's hut situated within streamworks on the right bank of Langcombe Brook. An archaeological field survey in 2002 recorded this as a well-constructed drystone wall 5.0m long and 1.2m high. This feature appears relatively modern and serves no obvious purpose.

(09/05/1996) SX 6028 6706 Tinners building; one of five tinners' buildings Gerrard records within the Langcombe Brook alluvial streamwork. Rectangular, 4.4m by 3m. Drystone coursed wall 1.1m wide, 0.9m high. Door faces 60 degrees. South-western wall is the stiling revetment of a dump. Built within a tye.
