Vis=6/9/1989 (robinson) site lies on moderate nw slope and coincides with faint hollow in slope (dprfp).

A ditch defined sub-rectangular enclosure of probable later prehistoric to Roman date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark on a north-east of Pottshayes Farm. The enclosure is situated on a north-west facing slope near the relatively level summit of a spur overlooking the Culm valley, at an elevation of approximately 130 mOD. The enclosure measures approximately 45 metres by 40 metres at its widest point.
