Name:Hut in settlement 460m north-east of Rough Tor

Summary

Hut circle forming part of a prehistoric settlement 460m north-east of Rough Tor. Diameter measures 3.8m. Rubble wall 0.9m wide, 0.4m high. 100 degree facing gap may represent a doorway. A build up of stones against the inner side of the north wall may be a bench or more likely the result of the 1898 excavation. Attached to the north side of the hut is an annex measuring internally 6m by 4.5m denoted by a 1.3m wide single orthostatic wall standing up to 0.75m high.

(20/03/1998) SX 6085 8020 Hut circle forming part of a prehistoric settlement 460m north-east of Rough Tor. Diameter measures 3.8m. Rubble wall 0.9m wide, 0.4m high. 100 degree facing gap may represent a doorway.
