Full description

Prowse, A. B., 1901, The Antiquities of Ockery and Roundhill, Dartmoor, 497 (Article in Serial). SDV233834.

Two small tumuli, the north westerly one is four yards across, and there is a large stone embedded in it which may be the south end of a kist. The other mound is of the same diameter, and is about seven yards distant. The four slabs of the enclosed kist are deeply embedded, and its dimensions are 3' x 2'. The long diameter 1' 6" nearly due north and south. A cover lies at the foot of the mound is 3' 7" x 2' 4". [20/6074/9216, 20/8074/9215].

Worth, R. H., 1912, 31st Report of the Barrow Committee, 85 (Article in Serial). SDV233835.

Barrow approximately 10 meters distant from cist, and north 26 degrees 30 feet west of it.

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950/1980, SX67SW15 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV237297.

(04/09/1950) A small turf-covered cairn with central hollow, 0.2 metres deep, which may represent a filled in cist. A buried slab of granite just south-east of the cairn might be a capstone of such a cist. Condition of cairn is fairly good and it measures 4.5 metres in diameter, and 0.5 metres in height.
(18/01/1980) Conforms to Ridyard's measurements with a disturbed centre and a probable kerb . Surveyed at 1:10 000 on MSD and at 1:2500 for AO Records. (see illustration and ground photographs)

Grinsell, L. V., 1978, Dartmoor Barrows, 151 (Article in Serial). SDV273224.

(09/02/1988) A) SX 60917416. A turf-covered cairn, slightly spread on the north side, measures 5.0m by 4.8m and 0.5m in height. An almost centrally placed upright slab, 0.6m long and 0.13m wide and a large slab at the foot of the mound could both be part of a disturbed cist. There is no evidence of a kerb.
