Weir and Sluice marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch ordnance Survey map where the Devonport Leat crosses the Cowsic River.

Site visit 26th May 2000. Cowsic weir andsluice. Substantial granite weir and junction with West Dart branch of the Plymouth Leat. Includes a long weir along east side of river, sluices and overflow channel from incoming West Dart leat, and a large sluice with iron sluicegate controlling outlet.
