(15/07/1977) The site comprises two enclosures and three huts centred at SX 68997148 on a north-west facing slope at 285.0m OD.
The semi-circular enclosure of 25.0m internal diameter, at SX 68937144, is joined to a reave wall and is probably later than the reave. The walling of small piled stones is 1.3m thick and 0.4m high, lynchet-like on the lower west side, with a levelled interior and a north-eastern entrance between the two huts. Surveyed at 1:10 000 on PFD.

Large rectangular enclosure with a reave of the reave system SX67SE/244 crossing the middle. The enclosure is divided into two, the northern element containing hut circle SX67SE/65 and a smaller oval, enclosure SX67SE/421. The southern element contains hut circle SX67SE/64. Hut circles SX67SE/422 and SX67SE/371 lie just outside this enclosure, which is attached to another reave by two banks. Visible on the 1977 aerial photograph.

Probert, S. A. J. + Newman, P., 1997, Holne Moor, Dartmoor, Devonshire. A Landscape Survey by the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England (Report - Survey). SDV173671.

(18/04/1996) Centred SX 6900 7148. Four hut circles belonging to the Dartmeet parallel reave system (SX 67 SE 95) have been enclosed by two medieval or later fields on the crest of the ridge overlooking the right bank of the Venford Brook south of Bench Tor.
The huts originally lay within the well-structured parallel reave system which was disrupted in this area during medieval or later times by the creation of two irregular corn ditched enclosures which largely ignore the earlier pattern. The larger eastern field covers approximately 1.7 hectares and is sub-divided by a low stoney bank. The steeper western field of 0.7 hectares has traces of cultivation in the form of slight terraces in the west-facing slope. See related records for the huts.
