Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1958, SX67SE29 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV139784.

SX 6897 7151 (25/04/1958) Hut circle B. With an associated circle on south-west side. Both circles consist of fairly evenly spaced stones, mostly only protruding a little from the ground.
NB: incorrect grid reference on this card? Description sounds as though this may relate to one of the huts associated with enclosure MDV6447. The 1985 aerial photograph project appears to refer to this enclosure too, but the Ordnance Survey only record one hut there in 1977.

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1977, SX67SE29 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV140951.

(15/07/1977) The site comprises two enclosures and three huts centred at SX 6899 7148 on a north-west facing slope at 285.0m OD.
The sub-circular enclosure at SX 6899 7154 is integrated with a reave wall (see SX 67 SE 92) and is approximately 16.0m in diameter internally with walling 2.0m thick and 0.8m high. It is constructed with small stones and the interior is levelledwith a gap on the north-east side.
A small type 1 hut 3.5m internal diameter with walling 1.3m thick and 0.4m high is attached externally on the south-west side of the enclosure.

Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England, 1985, Aerial Photograph Project (Dartmoor) - Dartmoor Pre-NMP (Cartographic). SDV319854.

A possible semi-circular hut circle is visible on the 1977 aerial photograph attached to a field boundary, part of the reave system SX67SE/244. Lies within enclosure SX67SE/62.
NB: see notes on Ordnance Survey cards.

Probert, S. A. J. + Newman, P., 1997, Holne Moor, Dartmoor, Devonshire. A Landscape Survey by the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England (Report - Survey). SDV173671.

(18/04/1996) Centred SX 6900 7148. One of four hut circles belonging to the Dartmeet parallel reave system (SX 67 SE 95) have been enclosed by two medieval or later fields on the crest of the ridge overlooking the right bank of the Venford Brook south of Bench Tor.
The huts all show signs of being terraced into the slope to create level interiors. Two have been heavily disturbed by later activity.
SX 6899 7153 Hut measures 4.5m in internal diameter, with walls 1.2m wide, 0.4m high.
