Summary

Hut circle with a sub-rectangular yard. Hut interior is slightly ovoid measuring 6.5 metres north-south by 7.4 metres and it has a south-east facing entrance. Associated levelled, sub-rectangular yard measures roughly 12.0 metres by 7.0 metres. Recorded in 1950, 1977 and 1996.

Royal Air Force, 1948, RAF/CPE/UK/2588, 5052-3 (Aerial Photograph). SDV168641.

(26/04/1950) A hut circle 9.5 metres in diameter. Walling consists of turf and large flat slabs of granite standing on end. Entrance to south-east.
(07/07/1977) This type II hut circle lies on a moderate, well drained, east facing slope at 300 metres above OD at SX 6827 7082. Hut circle has an internal diameter of 8.0 metres and the wall, faced internally with orthostats, is 2.0 metres wide. A south-east facing entrance opens on to a levelled, sub-rectangular yard approximately 12.0 metres by 7.0 metres, revetted by larger slabs. The hut is cut back in to the slope to a depth of 0.6 metres. 1:10 000 survey revised on PFD.

Hut circle with a probable part of a second hut circle next to it which would have formed a double hut circle visible in 1979 aerial photograph. Within reave system SX67SE/245.
