Irregular shaped linear feature shown on aerial photograph.

A leat embankment is shown on the 1:500 survey to the northeast of Stamping Mill 1 and the tailrace is shown around the western corner.

Leat embankment shown on plan of Stamping Mill 1 and Engine Wheelpit 1. It is shown as an irregular shaped linear feature to the north-east of Stamping Mill 1. The leat passed over Engine Wheel 1 with the water re-used on Stamping Mills 1-3 and then into another leat to supplement the water supply to Stamping Mills 4-6.
