The remains of post-medieval to 20th century ridges made for fruit tree planting and drainage were visible as earthwork banks immediately to the east of the former farmstead of Jarmans, Broadclyst, digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2005.
The banks were located at the south-western tip of a previously much larger orchard as depicted on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25inch map. The orchard remained densely planted in 1963 but was cleared by 1999. The relict ridges probably survive as low earthwork banks and the remainder of the orchard appear to have been replanted by 2010. It is possible modern banks have been created.
