Full description

Dyer, M. J., 1999, Archaeological Observation and Recording of a Residential Development Between Peel Close and Orchard Way, Topsham (Report - Watching Brief). SDV22720.

Pottery found within the Roman features included sherds dating from the about the second to the fourth centuries. The assemblage included amphora, samian ware, South Devon coarseware, black burnished ware and fragments of terracotta roof tile. A small number of slate tiles were also recovered .
