Summary
One of a row of three Bronze Age hut circles east of the Assycombe Brook. Hut circle of 5.5 metres diameter with walls 1.7 metres wide by 0.7 metres high with an entrance to the south. All three hut circles have suffered disturbance by forestry activity and appear to have been robbed of stone.

Fernworthy Plantation. Assacombe 11C. SX 6591 8245. Hut circle. 5.6 metres diameter. Very ruined. Low stone wall 1.1 metres thick. Not investigated. Has been planted over.
February 1976. One tree inside, others in or near stone wall. Clearance zone ringed by 8 posts. Trees standing within. Trees outside post ring are within falling distance of hut.
Included in 1955 Spooner and Dixon report (A) Region South of the Teign (Assacombe and Lowton) Site No. 15.

(03/06/1995) The huts lie on the steep W facing slope above the right bank of the Assycombe Brook within Fernworthy Forest. All have suffered disturbance by forestry activity. They are well-built from upright slabs and boulders and are terraced into the hillside. Entrances are in the S quadrant.

[One of] a group of three huts located 130 metres south of the Assacombe stone row on a moderate western slope. This hut circle sits in a natural hollow that cuts into the slope providing a level floor surface. The walls have been robbed of leaving an earth and stone rign some 5.7-6.4 metres diameter.
