Buildings shown on Tithe Map. They are recorded as houses and gardens on the apportionment (plots 552 and 553).

Group of buildings in triangular enclosure at road junction marked 'Smithy' on OS 1890 map. Described by Howard as 2 cottages and blacksmiths shop (site 1822). Last smithy 'saw dawn of the C20, and a liitle later the end of the smithy'. Most of the remains of the cottages were demolished in 1958 when the road was widened.
