Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Parish boundary marked.

Parish boundary bank seen at this location aligned north-northwest- south-southeast. Bank up to 2 metres wide by 0.75 metre to base of ditch. Ditch on southwest side 0.5 metre wide by 0.2 metre deep. Small trench (? World War Two) on southwest side of bank at given location. Bank traced to south to SY04258817 where it appears to terminate. Modern Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map depicts a circa 25 metre section of dashed line continuing south from here suggesting a gap in the bank. Gap also shown on Ordnance Survey 1:10560 map of 1891.

Bank crossed by East Devon Way. Avoid damage to bank during vegetation clearance or other work. Bank could be referred to in any literature referring to the parishes.

The main features of medieval and post-medieval date on the commons are banks. Banks marking parish boundaries are likely to be the earliest of these.

The bank between Colaton Raleigh and Woodbury is crossed by the East Devon Way.
