Summary

Leat shown on the 1867 survey plan & on the os (1884) map from sx43777114 to the wheel pit at sx43757110. The survey in 2003 found the 0.4m wide leat with a stone bank carrying it over uneven ground. The leat now resembles a stream. A sluice with a vertical rock cut slot has been built at the junction of this leat with the leat from ‘bedford united mine’ at sx43947126. The stone pier sides of the sluice have built-in slots 0.6m high x 0.09m wide (buck).
