Full description

Department for Culture, Media and Sport, 2000, Tiverton, 156 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV341848.

Chest tomb. Circa 1780, restored 1968. Portland stone chest tomb with a marble lid . The chest has fielded panels to the sides and ends and is inscribed: 'The family tomb of Mary Peard dated 31 December 1780 was restored in 1968 by the Mary Peard Trust'. Decayed inscription on lid and inscriptions to William Dickinson, died 1855 and his wife, died 1867. History: Mary Peard donated £1,000 to the Church of St George.
