Full description

Royal Air Force, 1946, CPE/UK 1890, 2190 (Aerial Photograph). SDV140289.

The RAF aerial photograph of 1946 shows no mound but a continuation of the field boundary to the south of the barn which has been removed on the modern photographs. This indicates that the mound is unlikely to be a barrow.

GetMapping, 1999, 122A, 125 (Aerial Photograph). SDV319754.

The mound is visible on the modern vertical aerial photographs.

Waterhouse, R. E., 2003, Untitled Source (Personal Comment). SDV319753.

The site of a possible long barrow, reported by Robert Waterhouse. Approximately 100m east-west by 35m north-south at its widest. The earthwork survives to a height of 4m. The field has been ploughed within living memory.
