Full description
Buck, C., 2005, Wheal Russell Mine, Devon: Archaeological Assessment, 50 (Report - Assessment). SDV336659.
Site of one of many charcoal burning platforms (Site 65) on the slopes of Morwell Woods dating from the medieval or post medieval periods. The survey in 2005 found the platformms 4 - 5 meters long x 2 - 3 meters wide cut into the hillslope giving a rear face of 0.5 - 0.7 meters high.
