The field to the north-east of the road junction of Abbotsham Road and Osborne Lane was called Quarry Close on the Tithe Map/Apportionment (Number 1167). No features are shown in this field on the Tithe Map or Ordnance Survey map of 1889, and it may be that the name referred to another quarry in the vicinity.
